That's because parts of the wager DO make sense.

If you had to choose between heaven or hell, grant they do exist for now, you would choose heaven.

That part makes sense.

What doesn't make sense: If you have to force yourself to believe, then what choice have you made?

A mind changed against its will is of the same opinion still. Or something like that.

So there are aspects of the wager that are right, but there are aspects that are wrong.

As Paul said, "A little leaven leavens the whole lump". This is akin to the "yeast of the Pharisees".

That is why I don't buy it.
