Re: Say NO to tattoo
-----------------------------------
Christian or not it doesn't really matter. When the bible tells us not to do something and we do it anyway it is a sin. And the bible says a sin is a sin is a sin and so on. Even Christians do things that God tells them not to. We all sin and we will spend all of our lives trying to keep ourselves from sinning. Even if you are a Christian and you go out and get a tattoo God will still forgive you for it.
Also, these scriptures are from the Old Testament, can anyone provide something from the new? While I do not think that the Old Testament should be disregarded I know from some experience that there are some who would say that the Old Testament was cancelled out with the new. For example, that's why sacrifices and not eating certain foods are allowed. And these people who think that way have a scripture to back them up. Romans 7:6- "But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve the new way of the spirit, and not the old way of the written code.
Just something to think about if this argument comes up with someone you know.
