No! Those who responded to the preaching of Baptist William Miller in the early 1800?s belonged to all shades and colors of Christendom but mainly Protestants. The latter had just stopped the protest and turned back to Rome. But those who came out knew their Bibles and faith were Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans, and Episcopalians etc. Mrs. White was Methodists. And all kept the papal day of the sun holy thinking it had to do with the resurrection and Pentecost. But when they saw JESUS in the heavenly Sanctuary Temple of GOD as Intercessor and Advocate in the Judgment settings, they saw new truth. Miller?s 2300 days of years prophecy in Daniel 8:14 was no mistake. The fault was in the interpretation held in common with all other denominations that the cleansing of the Sanctuary represented this planet or portion of the earth by fire and brimstone. But Daniel 7:13,22 sees the day of judgment in its true light: ?And I saw in the night vision, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of Heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him.? The 10 Virgins were fast asleep when the call was made. JESUS came suddenly to His Temple [Malachi 3] and does a special work of purification [v.2-4] and came near in judgment [v.5] He is now making up His Jewels [v.17] cause when He returns [advent], He will burn up the wicked that leaves no residue [Malachi 4] No eternally burning hell taught here. Daniel 9:24 is most important when considering JESUS as our Messiah and His work in the heavenly Temple as our Intercessor and great High Priest. It tells us that 70 weeks of years are ?determined? [cut off] from the 2300 days of years in the previous vision [v.21 cf. Daniel 8:13,14]. T o anoint the Most Holy Place in the heavenly Sanctuary Temple which took place after the crucifixion and resurrection where JESUS started to minister. The daily defiled the Temple with confessions of sin, but the yearly was the cleansing of the Sanctuary. So at the end of the 2300 years in 1844 A.D. our JESUS began the judgment hour reflected in Revelation 14 :6,7 also known as the day of Atonement or Yom Kippur when the final disposal of sin takes place just as the original earthly teaches it. Notice also that it is the dead and not the living that stand before GOD in judgment [ Rev. 11:18;]. Revelation 14 equates the good news of the Gospel with the judgment. This can only be good news for those who a Lawyer and Advocate can represent. This excludes the Myriads of willful Sinners who are determined to continue sinning until JESUS comes. Therefore Seventh Dayers, as you so derogatively call them, have a much better chance and the confidence that their Advocate JESUS CHRIST will represent them in court. Those who claim that all judgment took place in 31 A.D. are mistaken. I urge them to read Peter who says that Christians are barely saved [1.Peter 4]. As for cultists, who determines who are what is a cult. If you measure yourselves by the Protestant Reformation, than there is a 50% chance that you belong to a cult. The P.Reformers always rejected speaking in tongues. They never had the secret Rapture theory so popular today because it is a devilish invention and comes to you by Miss Margaret Mc Donald from the 1800 Irvingate Movement. If you belief in Futurism and Pretorism, than you are a victim of the Roman Catholic Counter-Reformation teachings that has deceived the whole of Protestantism. This is the very reason why the Adventist interpretation of Daniel and Revelation seems so cultic to you my Friend. That is the very reason why the three angels in Rev.14 say that ?BABYLON IS FALLEN?. Let?s quickly have a look at the ?MARK OF THE BEAST? we are all interested in. What is the trade mark of a beast? The animal nature will satisfy its lust no matter what. The fallen sinful carnal nature is the same. It is in enmity with GOD over His holy Law [Romans 8]. That what Paul calls the spiritual aspect of the 10 Commandments [ see Romans 7:7-14]. The flesh lusts against the spirit and vice versa. The modern ?SPIRITUALISTS? who is transformed as an angel of light is so self deceived that the person does not know that his heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Only those who walk in the spirit and die to sin and self constantly, are overcomers and promised eternal life. The TRIBULATION is nothing else than a repeat of the INQUISITION and those who will boycott and later kill you think they are doing GOD a service. They are Church leaders [wolves in sheepclothing] that have spiritual intercourse with State Government officials [Revelation 17]. The Sunday Sabbath, resting solely on the authority of the Catholic Church will persecute Seventh Day Sabbath keepers. The Beast says, I will worship when I want to and don?t care what GOD?S will is. Just like JESUS said to the Jews of His day, will He again say of modern Christianity: ?But in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.? [Matth.15] Revelation 13 is all about false worship opposing the true worship seen in Revelation 14 were they keep the Commandments of GOD and the faith of JESUS. You mentioned that SDA hold public missions and do not tell people who they are. Check out any website that is reaching out to people and they all have a statement of faith and belief. You never see anyone that tells you who they really are. And for good reasons. They all learned from SDA?
