The Doctrine of Eternal Security

The reason that the doctrine of eternal Security is misunderstood is because of ignorance regarding the born again process. Saying a sinner’s prayer or easy believism as it is called, does not constitute salvation. Many make a verbal profession of faith during an emotional sermon, which does not take root because there is no true repentance. Also, many accept Jesus without a complete understanding of the gospel in which they are converting to. Lack of proper teaching in churches is responsible for this, and also many are converted to a false gospel based on error, which again is not a true conversion.

Those who accepted Jesus at a particular time in their life and went back into the world were not truly converted. The concept of backslidding did not come into the church until about 50 years ago. The word baclslidder is not used in the New Testament. Yes, they may have had an illumination in the mind concerning the truth but not heart conversion. I could go on and on giving different case scenarios concerning easy believism salvations but I hope you get my point. So, what I am trying to say is that according to scripture, narrow is the way to life and few there be that find it. Yes, I believe God is moving to bring in the last harvest before he returns but I do not believe in this massive conversion doctrine some churches are teaching as there is no scriptural reference to it.
Jesus said that MANY not some or a few but MANY will say to me on that day….Lord, Lord…..and you know the rest.

The false Apostate church that is here and will eventually become part the one world religion that is being developed even now. It will look like the real thing to many who do not know the word of God and believe everything a preacher says to them. God is exposing false teachers in the droves but still people follow them to the detriment of their souls!

It is important to search the scriptures yourself to see what the truth is. Study, research, use a bible dictionary and a Greek and Hebrew lexicon. Pray and ask God to reveal by his Spirit to you what is truth. There are prophetic voices out there that are warning the church where it is headed. Research also on what these people have to say. Compare it with the word. Do a study on false prophets and see how these peace peace prophets compare with the old testament prophets.

Those who are born again have the divine nature engrafted within their spirit man…they have the nature of God himself in them. The New birth is a miraculous regenerating of the Holy Spirit and transforming us from the carnal man (Adamic nature) into a new creature in Christ. Your body is still sinful as it is not redeemed yet but your spirit is alive unto God because of the new birth! God lives in the regenerated spirit of a born again Christian who is no longer subject to the carnal man as that has been put off and the new man put on!

This miracle is a creation of God through the gift of grace through an impartation of divine faith that results in true conversion where the new creature now manifests the fruit of the holy Spirit because he is united with God!!! This born again miracle cannot be undone because God has ordained it. If you have this experience you will be kept by the power of God until that day of his appearing. You are in the holy Spirit and therefore you walk in the holy Spirit and you live and move and have your being in the holy Spirit. You are no longer your own as you are bought with the price of the blood of Jesus. You are now a son of God no longer a servant sold under sin but a true son, a joint heir with Christ and a king and priest unto God! You body is dead because of sin but your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Amen to this post. I am really glad it's not up to me to earn my way to salvation or up to me to make a first step. I know full well I couldn't have made that first step. It was such a beautiful shock and surprise when the Lord did open my eyes. It wasn't condemnation at all, it was a glorious revealing of Himself to me, after many days of extreme agony over my sin, and my past. It was a revealing of my identity also. Who I am in Christ and that He had been thinking of me for a very long time. Now that is a whole lot differant than the "decision" I made before that and before that and on and on. It was final. It was His decision.

This is an important message in the times we are living, where there is a plethora of institutions calling themselves "Churches" but the people inside are little different than the rest of the world around them. The Bible is clear that if one has been born of God it will be clearly evident by a radical change of heart which manifests in good "fruit". It is also clear in scripture that those who continue to practice sin are children of the devil and have never come to know Christ, and are therefore not His children and have no inheritance in His Kingdom.

Yes eternal security is true to those who have had their hearts regenerated by God's Spirit, and the Spirit of His Law written on their hearts and minds. Many however put the cart before the horse and claim they have eternal life before God's Spirit has done His work in them, because they had been given a false or incomplete "gospel" and believed it. This is where the religious institutions often give one of the many prescribed lists of sinners prayers or altar calls, sacramental ceremonies, sabbath ordinances, sign gifts, etc. to supposedly bring one into "salvation" when completed, and therefore give a false sense of security to people who have never been born of God.

The issue that must be repaired to bring us into fellowship with our Creator and Lord, is that our wicked hearts need to be renewed by His Spirit to undo the rebellious nature we inherited from Adam. Until this issue is addressed we have no salvation to lose, and after it has we will know by our fruits because we no longer practice lawlessness. Any religion therefore that attempts to deny, replace, or redefine the second birth have undermined the whole point of the gospel and ensured that those who follow its teachings will not be saved.

That is why there is no backsliding or becoming unborn from God. If He has fundamentally restored our hearts and wrote His Laws upon them, then there is no danger of falling back into the muck and mire of lawlessness that we were saved from. The problem that false converts often have with the eternal security doctrine, is that they still see sin as something to be desired, so naturally assume that it would give people a license to sin without consequence, and can't understand how it could possibly work. Other false converts embrace the doctrine and assume that they can do virtually anything they want and it's "All under the blood" so why worry about following God's commandments. In other words they have turned God's grace into licentiousness and deny His Lordship. (Jude 4).

True salvation is being saved FROM SIN by God's Spirit breaking us from our enslavement to it, through His washing us from within. Those who have been through this process are children of God and heirs to His Kingdom, and therefore HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
