Rev. Too, may I ask that comments such as above be refrained from in the future.

My reason for asking is due to the fact that there are in fact a multitude of possibilities as to why bible student might not have responded, including but not limited to the assumption thrown with your last post.

Furthermore, silence in the face of questioning need not be emphasized for the reader to notice that a response has not been delivered as of yet, and therefore consider the possibility that bible student is wrong in their proposed views. However, this forum is to discuss and learn, not to bash or harass one for their viewpoints and or timeliness of responses.

Poet,

I don't really think that Revelations Too is simply lashing out on Bible Student. Seeing the number of posts he issued he had ample time to respond to the questions posted towards him. I don't see anything wrong with the confrotation issued by Rev. Too because Bible Student has poortly defended his position even in the light of scriptures that proof his point to be faulty or contradictory in the light of scriptures. Bible Student from what I've read is not willing to learn truth but to find people that are in agreement with his preconceptions or parti pris.

The calling for refraining when it is dealing with the actual matter must be dismissed unless the matter be a forcing of one's believes upon another, demeaning to the individual's character etc. But if it has to do with wanting to establish truth - than Bible Student must defend his position logically, and with fair biblical proofs instead.

Base, I am asking for refraining from unnecessary questioning when a question has already been posed. Perhaps you consider it appropriate to repeatedly ask one the same question in an attempt to belittle them in the eyes of others; I however, do not believe this is okay, nor do I believe God would...even if they're wrong. If you throw one more attempt to fight at me, I will take necessary action to have you removed from these forums. This is a place of discussion, not a grounds for conflict. It is against the ToS to attempt to fight where it is absolutely unnecessary.

Poet,

Both you and I should consider this an honor to be part of this debating forum...both you and I seem to be interested in the same subjects it just happen to be that our ideas don't go together - that's unfortunate! I don't know why you are taking this to be a personal issue, I don't know you and you haven't done anything wrong to me so why should I fight you? Unless I be out of my mind and not understand the meaning of debating. If your intention is to get me off the forum for confronting your ideas and questioning what you said - than I will consider the Moderator of the forum to lack reason or judgment when I have done nothing against you as a person but question your ideas.

Asking the same question over is necessary to do if the person being asked is avoiding to answer it honestly...go to every lively debate or court of law and you'll see the same trend...it is a way of getting the person to speak the truth instead of trying to avoid it and I think Bible Student has been dodging answering the questions so Rev. Too had to repeat it...it has nothing to do with making someone appear to be foolish, we should have reason to back our beliefs unless they turn into mere superstitions if they go unquestioned.

I'll not beg you not to fight me to be banned from the FORUM - but I think it to be a weak way of fighting in debates...this is a fight of ideas and I have nothing personal even against those with opinions that are opposed to mine.

Base, perhaps our viewpoints differ in the point of these forums.

Where matters of tenets within the Christian faith are discussed among believers, I do believe debate to be beneficial.

Where matters of proper faith are discussed among believers of different faiths (in this case, Christianity and Islam), I do not believe debate is the way to go, but rather showing by example. In this situation, I believe that repeated questioning, while often used in debates, is merely an attempt at bashing that is unnecessary here, unless the person being asked should continue speaking without responding to the question. (In short, I'm saying this: you are a representative of our God. Don't sink to the level of what you see others do.)

I am not trying to get you removed from these forums, although I do disagree with a spirit of conflict that seems to have arisen here. Perhaps it is all just miscommunication, and I would much rather it be quickly sorted out than escalate. My statement about removal was merely intended as a reminder that this is a place of growth and learning, not a place of fighting and, when pushed to extremes, arguing rather than debating.

I can see and appreciate the points that both Poet and Base are making. My intent may have easily been misunderstood. I certainly do not intend to belittle anyone. I apologize if it came across that way. My intent is that we all, should, as Isaiah put it, “Come now let us reason together.” Or as Paul said that we all in all should be edified. Poet, I shall try to improve my phrasing of a discussion challenge in the future to invoke the proper spirit. Thanks for the reminder.

We should also remember that Christ said “rend unto Ceasar the things that are Ceasar’s and rend unto God, the things that are God’s.”

My intent was to help bible student gain a clearer picture of the full identity of Christ’s true identity.

Some seek to minimize or deny Christ’s true position and therefore seek in reality, to that extent, deny him and the fullness of his mission or to give glory to another.

My position in this discussion, is to defend the truth regarding His true status as the Creator, as the great Jehovah or Yahweh of the old testament as well as all that rightfully pertains to his divine mission as the redeemer and resurrected Lord and savior of all mankind who is indeed King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

I, like Job of old can and do testify that I know that my Redeemer lives. I pray that I may always stand as a ready witness and always defend the only true mediator between God and man. For we all, indeed, are forever indebted to Him and Him alone for the unspeakable opportunity and abundant mercy that his atonement provides for us.

I would like to share with you a bit of self-reflection I went through prior to my conversion from Catholicism to Christianity.

1. God is a spirit.
2. God lives in a spiritual realm (Heaven).
3. The angels are spirits that live with God.
4. God is sinless.
5. The angels are sinless.
6. Sin cannot co-exist with God.
7. God created all souls.
8. The soul is sinless because God, being sinless, created it.
9. The sould in a baby's body is pure and sinless.
10. Sin is a learned habit.
11. An infant cannot sin because it cannot fathom right and wrong.
12. Therefore, those who are taught right from wrong, elect to sin knowing what it does and who it offends.
13. Sin is learned, not inherited. Very Happy
